Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, April 11, 2010 –
The FIVB Executive Group met in Punta Cana on
Sunday ahead of the FIVB Executive Committee and
Board of Administration meetings which will take
place from Monday to Friday.
Key items discussed included preparations for
the FIVB World Congress, which will take place
from September 9-10 in Rome, Italy as well as
preparations for the FIVB World Championships
2010 in Italy and Japan, the 2011 World
Championships for Junior and Youth, the Beach
Volleyball Continental Cup and the FIVB World
Club Championships 2010 in Doha, Qatar.
Other discussions included the FIVB Marketing
Strategy and Television Coordination.
The Executive Group consists of the FIVB
President Mr. Jizhong Wei, 1st Executive
Vice-President Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, 2nd
Executive Vice President Mr. Theofanis Tsiokris
and FIVB Treasurer Mr. André Meyer.
The FIVB Executive Committee will meeting on
April 12-13 followed by the Board of
Administration from April 14-16.
